It's 6:23AM on the morning of Friday, December 30th. Whitney, Jacob and Appleberry just called to let me know that they're about 20 minutes away from my Grandparent's house in Long Beach. As soon as I get my stuff loaded up I'll take over for whoever drove my truck down from the Bay and we'll head East to Las Vegas, Nevada. New Year's in Vegas!!!

My Grandmother, Rosemary Dodds, passed away yesterday afternoon. What I remember most about Gram, besides the love that she had for her family and her generosity and kindness, was her discipline. She was a no-nonsense woman that didn't think twice to let you know that you were in the wrong. Although I probably didn't appreciate it at the time, I think that I have come to appreciate that about her as I've grown older. Gram made me take responsibility for my actions even as a child and that was one of the best gifts that I have ever received.
